Several hotels and accommodation providers in North Jutland have achieved one or more certifications and can therefore demonstrate that they are working purposefully to reduce their environmental impact.

Green Key is the international eco-label for tourism and is awarded to tourism businesses that meet a range of environmental requirements and go the extra mile to protect the environment.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official Nordic eco-label, which monitors and certifies eco-labelled products and services.

The Organic Dining Label is a government-regulated labelling scheme for restaurants, which indicates the proportion of the food and drink purchased by the restaurant that is organic. The Organic Dining Label is available in three versions: gold (90–100 per cent), silver (60–90 per cent) and bronze (30–60 per cent).
