IHF World Championship 2023
Frederikshavn and Arena Nord will host the IHF World Championship in women's handball, which starts on 29 November
Denmark is the host together with Norway and Sweden for this year's World Championship in handball. Handball fans can look forward to experience world-class handball in both Frederikshavn and Herning until December, when the WC in women's handball starts.
In the period from 29 November up to and including 13 December, there will only be two days where matches are not played in Arena Nord - which gives a total of 14 match days.
Norway and Sweden play all their matches until the quarter-finals in their home country. Denmark plays all its matches in Boxen, Herning. This also means that in Denmark the WC will be played in Frederikshavn and Herning.
In total, 37 matches will be played in Frederikshavn, starting on Wednesday 29 November and with the last match on Wednesday 13 December. In the period from 29 November up to and including 13 December, there will be only two days without matches, giving 14 match days.
