Hou for kids
In Hou, there is plenty to do for the youngest members of the family. The town offers playgrounds, green areas and a safe environment for play
Hou Harbor
Hou Harbor faces the Kattegat straight on. The harbor was built in the 1940s, and a marina was made to annex it between the 1970s and the 1980s.
Hou South Beach
Hou South Beach lies as a natural frame around the town of Hou. The beach is 6 kilometres long, reaching all the way down to Hals. The Beach is kid-friendly.
Hou Waffle House & Beach Café
If you haven't tried ice cream from Vebbestrup yet, it's definitely time to do so! Enjoy a delightful treat while taking in the view of the marina in Hou.
Playgrounds in Hou
There are three playgrounds within the city limits:
- At the village scheme on Nørregade 9
- At Hou Harbour
- At Nordstranden, where the playground "Pegasus" is located. It is easily reached on foot from Molehuset, Hou Mole 27.
For the youngest children, there is also a safe environment. At Galleri Hou there is a small fenced area with a sandpit and pavilion - perfect for playing in peaceful surroundings.
