SUP spot: Egholm
Take a trip to the small island in the Limfjord on SUP boards
If you're up for a slightly longer trip on your paddleboard, you can visit the small island of Egholm.
The journey to Egholm on paddleboards can start from either Aalborg or Nørresundby.
Starting from Nørresundby, you can paddle through Lindholm Å, which is particularly good in windy weather because it lies low compared to the surroundings and have trees surrounding it. From Lindholm Å, you can reach the backside of Egholm, which is relatively shallow and free from boat traffic, and then take the trip around the island. A trip around Egholm is approximately 11 km.
Alternatively, you can start your trip to Egholm from the Aalborg side. For example, from the harbor at Aalborg Sejlklub, where you have the opportunity to use the harbor's large area to get acquainted with the water before continuing towards Egholm.
On Egholm, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature by combining your SUP trip with a hike around the island. There are four hiking trails on the island of varying distances. See more about the hiking trails here.
If you get hungry during your visit, you can visit the island's restaurant, Restaurant Kronborg, for delicious meals both at lunch and dinner.
