Østervrå Idræts- og Kulturcenter (Østervrå Sports and Culture Center)

The self-governing institution "Østervrå Sports and Culture Center" was founded in 1972, when the sports and swimming pool was taken into use.

The center today appears modern and well-maintained with ongoing updates and expansions.

In 1998, the swimming hall's changing facilities were expanded with very accessible rooms, making it also attractive for people with disabilities and young children, especially with the 25-meter pool heated to 29 degrees Celsius. In addition to diving boards, the swimming hall also offers a spa and steam room, which can be used free of charge when entering the pool.

In 2002, the "Østervrå Cultural Center" was built next to the facility, which, with its approximately 700 m², has provided space for activities beyond sports. It offers excellent rooms for cultural events, meetings, and private functions. A trampoline pit in the hall is particularly attractive for gymnasts.

In 2005, a modern fitness and strength center was inaugurated, successfully managed by Østervrå Sports Association. The center has expanded multiple times, most recently in 2015, and offers both individual training and group sessions.

The center also offers overnight accommodations, especially suitable for training camps. Private guests can also stay overnight here.

In 2017, Østervrå Library and Østervrå Youth Club moved into the center, renting very inviting spaces. These new tenants are a significant asset to the center, providing new offerings and creating great synergy for all visitors.

Also in 2017, a new, welcoming gathering and lounge area was opened. This area is the first place you encounter when entering through the main entrance, and it offers ample opportunities for relaxation and socializing, no matter the reason for your visit to the center.
