The North Sea Trail

The North Sea Trail is part of the North Sea Trail and NAVE Nortail project, which aims to establish walking routes on old historic paths along the entire North Sea Trail.

26 regions from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, England and Scotland are involved in the project, which links lifelines, church trails, royal paths, drift paths and sailing trips with natural and cultural attractions.

The North Sea Trail has a total length of 5,000 kilometres and is signposted everywhere with a curved "N" in the shape of a wave. The trail runs mainly on existing field and forest tracks, paths and motorways in the open countryside. In some places there are footpaths that follow the terrain, borders or windbreaks.

At the tip of Denmark, there are routes along the coast and its hinterland, regardless of interest and level of difficulty.

In the municipality of Brønderslev you will find parts of the North Sea Trail routes "Sæby-Melholt" and "Melholt-Lille Vildmose".

Here you can experience the harbour town of Asaa with its idyllic harbour surroundings and the child-friendly Asaa Beach. Don't miss a unique nature experience in the Asaa-Geraa Wildlife Reserve, where you can observe rare birds and enjoy beautiful, unspoilt places.
