The Vikings lived in North Jutland, and even today you can find traces of them or visit museums where you can learn much more about how they lived.

Are you curious about how the Vikings lived?

At the Lindholm Høje Viking Museum, you can step right into the everyday life of the Vikings. The museum offers interactive exhibitions where you can try your hand at rowing a Viking boat or don a virtual Viking helmet. The many finds from the area provide a vivid picture of life in the Viking Age.

Would you like to see a Viking ship?

Visit the Bangsbo Coastal Museum in Frederikshavn, where the impressive Ellingåskib ship is on display. Although the ship dates back to 1163, it was built according to the same principles as Viking Age merchant ships, which testifies to the longevity of this type of Nordic ship.

Standing in front of this well-preserved ship provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our maritime heritage and understand the Vikings' exceptional craftsmanship and spirit of adventure.
