Street art "Out in the open" - ADNATE - Nyhavnsgade / Østre Havnegade
On Nyhavnsgade in Aalborg, the Australian artist ADNATE has created the façade mural Many Masks of Different Faces. The work explores identity, narratives and the various roles we take on throughout our lives, whilst also marking the artist’s first major façade mural in Denmark.

In Many Masks of Different Faces, ADNATE draws on her experiences of encountering cultures and local communities around the world. The mural centres on identity and poses an open question to the viewer: Is the person hiding behind the mask, or does it reveal who she really is?
Inspired by Danish traditions, the work highlights the importance of storytelling and the many faces people wear throughout their lives. The artist aims to create a personal connection with the viewer and invite them to reflect on their own history and identity.
