Street Art Moves into Østre Havn Stairwells: 12 Portraits Celebrate Local Artists. Painted by artist Burn On
In Aalborg's Østre Havn district, art has become an integral part of daily life. Within the residential complex Kulturrækken, 12 vibrant street art portraits by North Jutland artist Burn On now adorn the stairwells. These works depict prominent cultural figures from the region, including Niels Hausgaard, Annika Aakjær, Jakob Ejersbo, and Bent Haller.
The project was realized in collaboration with A. Enggaard and Ordkraft, who assisted in selecting the portrayed individuals. The unveiling event saw participation from both the artists and the subjects themselves, highlighting the close ties between art, culture, and the local community.
These new artworks not only enhance the living environment but also pay tribute to North Jutland's creative spirit.
