Street Art - ALESSIO-B - Kattesundet 20

KIRK Gallery has just completed the next mural in this year’s edition of the wall art project ‘Out in the Open’, now in its 11th year. The newest chapter has been created by Italian artist ALESSIO-B, who has finished his work at Håndværkerhuset on Borgergade 1, Aalborg.

In continuation of the historical house, he presents a girl who observes and learns from past generations. The girl, painted in subdued grey tones, leans thoughtfully over the roof of the house.

The artist says:
“It was important to me that the mural related to Håndværkerhuset, a building from the 1700s, and the importance of cultural heritage today. I wanted to show how the new generation carries history forward.”

ALESSIO-B is known worldwide for his black-and-white works, often with themes of peace and love
