Regenerative farming with care

At Omfaun, run by Thomas and Frederikke, hens, cows and sheep graze on pasture and are regularly moved to new areas. They work in harmony with nature and strive to foster more life both above and below ground. Among other things, they produce free-range eggs and free-range chickens, which are sold locally and supplied to some of North Jutland’s restaurants.

Omfaun: more than just a farm

But Omfaun is also a place you can visit. At Dronninglund Castle, they have set up a small bed and breakfast with simple, peaceful rooms. Here, you can wake up in the heart of the castle grounds, enjoy breakfast made with produce from the farm and the local area, and take a walk through the woods out to the animals in the fields.

We’re not a traditional hotel. Our family lives and works here, and as a guest, you’re invited to get a little closer to life here. In the morning, you’re welcome to watch as Thomas and Frederikke tend to the animals, and when time allows, they’ll be happy to tell you about farming and our work with the land.

Omfaun is their attempt to create a place where farming, nature, food and people are a little more closely connected.
