Christmas at the Old Town Hall

Explore the Christmas spirit at the Old Town Hall on Gammeltorv in Aalborg. Admission is free, and you can wander the decorated rooms and take a break in the small café with gløgg, hot cocoa, cordial and warm æbleskiver at reasonable prices.

When you step into the Old Town Hall, you enter a historic house dressed for Christmas in classic colours, fir and candlelight. Admission is free, and you decide whether to make it a quick stop or a longer break in the middle of the city’s December bustle. The town hall sits centrally on Gammeltorv, making it easy to combine with a walk through the city centre or a visit to nearby shops and markets.

The café

In the small café you can warm up with gløgg or a cup of hot cocoa. There’s also cordial for the youngest visitors and freshly baked æbleskiver, all served at reasonable prices. The café is informal and cosy, and it’s easy to find a table, take off your coat and thaw out before continuing your day.

The town hall and café are open from 28/11 to 21/12.
Opening hours: Monday–Friday: 13:00–18:00.
Saturday–Sunday: 12:00–18:00.
