Christmas in Gammelby – Christmas at the Square

Come and join us when Sæby opens this year's "Christmas in the Square" with a festive Open by Night on November 29th. The town's Christmas tree will be lit, marking the start of a wonderful holiday season.

Atmosphere in the streets:

• Experience Christmas huts, small Christmas trees, straw bales, and twinkling Christmas lights creating an authentic holiday scene.
• The scent of roasted almonds, pastries, mulled wine, and pancakes will fill the air and create the perfect Christmas atmosphere.

Santa Claus in the Square:

• Meet Santa Claus in his cozy house and have a chat or make a special Christmas wish.

Christmas music and concerts:

• Christmas music will play in the pedestrian streets through loudspeakers, and there may be Christmas concerts from a new stage.

Handicrafts and unique Christmas finds:

• Artisans will be part of the celebrations with unique and creative Christmas items.

Entertainment with Rødder and Vinger:

• The popular juggler group, Rødder and Vinger, will create magical moments with activities every weekend starting from November 29th. Look forward to impressive fire shows and a Christmas goat illuminated with lights, which will delight both young and old.
