Christmas concert with Icelandic choir Árelía

Icelandic choir Árelía presents an atmospheric Christmas concert at Budolfi Kirke – Aalborg Domkirke on Monday, 30 November at 7.30 pm. The programme features Icelandic Christmas songs, Nordic folk music and selected Christmas songs from other countries, all sung in Icelandic.

In the distinctive acoustics of the church, the choir presents a programme filled with warm sounds, poetic lyrics and a calm, reflective Christmas atmosphere. The concert offers an opportunity to experience the Icelandic singing tradition and enjoy a peaceful musical moment during Advent.

Icelandic choir Árelía

Árelía, formerly known as Islændingekoret i Aarhus, consists of around 20 singers with a particular love of the Icelandic singing tradition. The choir is conducted by Gunnar Sigfússon.
