Nature in Ålbæk

The Dune of Råbjerg Mile is the largest migrating dune in Denmark. You can’t avoid sand in your shoes after a trip in the “mile”, but in return you will be greeted by a sight you will not find anywhere else in Denmark’s beautiful nature.

Visit Ålbæk Harbor Bath for a unique outdoor experience that combines nature and social interaction. At the top of the sauna is a viewing platform from where you can enjoy a unique panoramic view.

In the Port of Ålbæk there is easy access to fishing, and is there something better than catching dinner for the whole family. From Ålbæk west pier, eels and flatfish can be caught all year round.

In 1891, the danish state began to work on Aalbæk Klitplantage (Dune plantation). Today, the area covers 736 ha, and is primarily made up of sparse duneland, heath and slightly hilly dune terrain.

In Ålbæk Plantation, north of Frederikshavn in Northern Jutland, you will find this enclosed dog park.

The beach at Ålbæk and Napstjert frames the harbour. The nice, white beach sand invites children´s play, while the clean, calm water invites a dip in the Kattegat´s wawes.
