In his late works, Picasso painted with an unrelenting creative energy. Bold colours, broad brushstrokes, and a youthful curiosity brought him back time and again to motifs that had followed him throughout his life: self-portraits, musketeers, couples, and bodies caught between desire, love, ageing, and mortality.
During the tour, we explore the story of an artist who never stopped experimenting – and of a period that was long misunderstood, but is now seen as groundbreaking and deeply influential. Together, we look at why these late works still resonate today, challenging and inspiring audiences across generations. Our guide leads you through the exhibition, connecting the works to Kunsten’s architecture and creating space for reflection, curiosity, and questions.
