Christmas at Dorf Møllegård

Have you always dreamt about Christmas like in the good old days - where Christmas was just a bit more Christmas?

Located on the scenic Jyske Ås, you'll find a North Jutland gem called Dorf Møllegård. A mill farm that could easily have been featured in the good old Morten Korch films and provided the setting for idyllic moments. Because idyllic is exactly what the farm is all about - especially at Christmas time.

Take a journey back in time and experience Christmas as it was celebrated in 1930 at the atmospheric Dorf Møllegård. You can enjoy a Christmas-decorated mill yard where the housewife bakes apple slices on the old stove, which can be bought and enjoyed in the cosy living rooms.

There will be stalls selling Christmas gifts, decorations, ornaments and the classic roasted almonds, as well as readings of Christmas stories from the 1930s. Take a photo of the kids in an old sleigh - perfect for your Instagram!

Kids can also take part in fun activities like finding out what kind of elf they are, searching for missing forest garden elves or helping to solve a Christmas mystery.

Life on a mill farm

At Dorf Møllegård, which is part of the Museum of Supply and Sustainability, their permanent exhibition in the architect-designed farmhouse takes you on a journey that tells the story of life on a mill farm through the centuries. You can also experience a real old-fashioned water and windmill as well as the amazing nature.
