Join Us in Growing Forests in Destination NORD
Contribute to afforestation projects that absorb CO₂ and create new natural areas. Together with the Climate Forest Fund, we support projects to plant new forests in North Jutland.
At Destination NORD, we work on projects that support the restoration of forests and nature in our area. In collaboration with the Climate Forest Fund, we support projects to plant new forests for the benefit of the climate and for the enjoyment of local residents. The projects are funded by contributions from private individuals – including visitors and tourism operators in the destination.
The forests established by the Climate Forest Fund are protected in perpetuity. The Climate Forest Fund’s standards include requirements for, amongst other things, the measurement and documentation of the projects’ climate impact. As the forests grow, they absorb and store CO₂, whilst ensuring that future generations have the means to protect the aquatic environment and drinking water, as well as creating more space for nature and better conditions for biodiversity.
You can also help to plant more forests in the destination you are visiting. Your contribution goes towards projects run by the Climate Forest Fund, which works to establish new forests and calculate their expected climate impact.
