Aalborg Airport is the third largest airport in Denmark, connecting Aalborg and North Jutland with both domestic and international destinations with direct flights and world-class connectivity.

The airport is highly recognised by travellers for its accessibility and good passenger experience, with the calm atmosphere and exceptionally good and attentive service being highlighted as special qualities. It's easy to get here and onwards to your meeting or conference destination, and we are happy to help you plan your journey.

Preferred by travellers

Three times in a row, Aalborg Airport has been voted the best airport in Denmark by travellers, who prefer it to the eight other Danish airports. The Danish Travel Awards, which have been held in 2019, 2022 and 2023, honour the Danish travel and aviation industry. Among other things, the route programme and facilities in Aalborg have been highlighted. The airport has also made a name for itself internationally with the title "The World's Best Lounge Experience". Aalborg Airport's Lounge was voted the best out of 162 lounges worldwide for the year 2021 in a passenger survey for travellers with KLM and Air France.

Directly connected to the world

Aalborg Airport is just a short flight away from major airports with a journey time of only 35 minutes from Copenhagen and 65 minutes from Amsterdam. The airport is directly connected to destinations such as London Belfast, Edinburgh, New York, Barcelona, Alicante, Naples, Lisbon, Oslo and many others.

With several daily connections to major hubs, your meeting or conference guests can conveniently reach North Jutland - and uniquely, it's only ten minutes from the airport to the centre of Aalborg.

Getting to and from the airport

The good location and infrastructure create an efficient connection to and from all of Jutland. Getting to and from Aalborg Airport by public transport is quick and easy. You can take the bus to and from the airport, with departures several times an hour. It is also possible to take the train directly to the airport from the south, where the last stop is a few hundred metres from the main entrance. Trains run twice an hour to and from Aalborg Airport.

Green transition

In 2021, Aalborg Airport was accredited as a CO2-reducing airport through the international Airport Carbon Accreditation programme. In addition to specific initiatives at the airport, investments have been made in local climate compensation through the conversion of renewable grass and natural areas on the island of Egholm close to the airport, which also strengthens the nature of North Jutland. The airport wants to take the lead and raise the bar for the green transition of aviation and is involved in PtX partnerships to offer completely green domestic flights in the future. This benefits the climate, Aalborg Airport and all of North Jutland.
