During the autumn half-term holidays, the Bangsbo Fort Coastal Museum invites you to a fun and educational treasure hunt in the historic fortress grounds high above Frederikshavn. Along the way, participants will have to solve puzzles and find clues around the fort’s grounds, whilst experiencing the unique atmosphere amongst the bunkers, paths and fascinating historical surroundings.
The treasure hunt is a long-standing tradition for many families and gives children the chance to explore history in an active and entertaining way. If you complete the challenges, a prize awaits as a reward for your efforts. At the same time, you’ll get plenty of fresh air and exercise on the walk through the fort’s grounds.
Bangsbo Fort is one of Denmark’s most fascinating defence installations, with roots in both the Second World War and the Cold War. The fort is situated 82 metres above sea level and offers an impressive view of Frederikshavn and the Kattegat, making a visit an experience in itself
