Hou Harbor
Hou Harbor faces the Kattegat straight on. It is a fishing village with a lovely view of the sea. The harbor was built in the 1940s, and a marina was made to annex it between the 1970s and the 1980s.

Hou South Beach
Hou South Beach lies as a natural frame around the cozy town of Hou. The beach is six kilometres long, reaching all the way down to Hals. It's kid-friendly and easily accessible from Hou.
Hou Waffle House & Beach Café
Hou Waffle and Beach café is located at the harbour site of Hou. The café offers homemade waffles and a wide selection of ice cream. The café is open during the spring and summer time.
Playgrounds in Hou
There are three playgrounds within the city limits:
- At the village scheme on Nørregade 9
- At Hou Harbour
- At Nordstranden, where the playground "Pegasus" is located. It is easily reached on foot from Molehuset, Hou Mole 27.
For the youngest children, there is also a safe environment. At Galleri Hou there is a small fenced area with a sandpit and pavilion - perfect for playing in peaceful surroundings.
