Our sustainability strategy
Our strategy is based on a holistic approach to sustainability, in which environmental, social and economic considerations go hand in hand. Here you can find out more about how we work strategically to ensure the responsible and balanced development of Destination Nord – both now and in the future.

The destination’s carbon footprint
To take responsibility, we need to understand our impact. The climate accounts provide an overview of tourists’ CO₂ emissions at the destination and are a vital tool in setting targets and monitoring our progress towards more climate-friendly tourism.

Climate Action Plan for Tourism and Events
With a targeted climate action plan, we are setting the direction for how the tourism and events sector can contribute to the green transition. The plan translates ambitions into concrete actions – with a focus on reducing emissions, collaboration and long-term sustainable development.
